My name's Sebastian Black, and I want to buy you. I could have any woman I want, but I choose you. No relationship, just sex. Here's my offer...I'll put your name in my little black book, and when I want you, I'll call you. When I call, you're going to come, in more ways than one. It will be mutually pleasurable for both of us. There are only two rules don't ever deny me. Don't fall in love. If you do either, I'll remove you from my book and payment stops. Do we have an understanding?

3.5 Stars!Sebastian Black. Club owner. Rich. Powerful. Owns a little black book of women he pays to be there for him whenever and wherever he wants. He wants no emotional ties to them. He doesn't even want to know their names and instead names them after female cartoon characters. When he gets bored, he dismisses and replaces them. He is forever on the look out for the perfect Jessica Rabbit.
Rosslyn Harris. Orphaned at a young age with her brother. They went to go live with their grandmother. The story begins years later right as their grandmother passes away. Soon to be homeless, she looks for a job and gets hired at Sebastian's club. She's sweet and naive and Sebastians ever elusive Jessica.
I never really warmed up to Sebastian. Something about his character kept him from becoming a favored hero. If he had, then this book would have been off the charts for me. It's well written. I like the idea behind the little black book and ultimately finding is forever girl. Readers who love the a-hole heroes will like Sebastian. He was arrogant and treated women like they were his toys.
I loved that Rosslyn didn't fall at Sebastian's feet but he made it to where she couldn't turn him down if she wanted to keep her brother out of child services. She is the typical naive virgin that can come across as annoying, but less so than others. This ends an a HEA but their is a second book that continues their story.

** spoiler alert ** This was a very quick read. I finished it in about six hours. This is also my first Vargo and Andrea book. I've been reading to read their works (individually and together), and I've just finished both James's FIFTY SHADES and Wild's HACKER series, so I thought this would be a nice read.
Overall, I did enjoy the story. However, I felt it was a bit rushed. This is common with standalone erotic novels like this, though. Basically, the plot here is very similar to what James or Wild has done, but they took three to five books to map out the plot, where Vargo and Andrea did it in one book. (Note that there are differences, though. There is no BDSM or hacking in LITTLE BLACK BOOK.) I think this would have been amazingly done if they would have stretched this over three (or even two) books instead. I do know they are releasing a sequel, but originally, this wasn't planned. So I'm rating this based on the standalone concept.
I was shocked by the editing work. I know this book was professionally edited, so it was incredibly difficult to see past the errors (missing words, incorrectly used punctuation marks, and more). We're all human and typos happen, but these mistakes were fairly basic (and aren't what I'd consider a typo), which is the only reason I'm commenting on that. However, it doesn't distract from the story, which is a positive.
Aside from those issues (the too-fast-for-my-liking pace and the editing job), the only other drawback from me was Trish's character. She was incredibly flat and absolutely unnecessary. She was needed for two purposes to get Roz an interview and to offer a place to hide once all s*** went to hell. However, those aren't strong enough reasons to keep her. Simple plot changes could have been made to remove this character (for example, Roz could have overheard Clive's was hiring or saw it on a job board). The reason this particular issue bothers me is because removing Trish all together would have provided more time to build up the romance between Roz and Sebastian, which is what I needed to correct the pacing issue I initially mentioned.
But again, overall, it's a good story. Fairly typical of this genre, but they all are. I definitely recommend this if you're looking for a good plot but aren't interested in much romance (because there isn't much in the sex department in this book).
Sebastian Black has a little black book. The woman he enters into the book are named after cartoons and he only has two rules. Be ready when he calls and don’t fall in love with him. His favourite carton is Jessica Rabbit and that is the one woman who he is looking for. Roz and her brother Kyle, have had an emotional life. They were in the house when their parents were murdered. Roz has become Kyle’s guardian after her grandmother died. With no house, no income and the locks about to go on, Roz is desperate to find work. She manages to find a waitressing job at the new trendy Nightclub owned by Sebastian Black. She also just happens to get Mr Blacks attention, as his new Jessica Rabbit. When Mr Black propositions her she is appalled by what he is offering but when certain incidents happen she is left with very little bargaining tools. Vick who has been Sebastian long term friend and employee is not happy about the attention Roz is getting. Is there more to her jealousy than we realize? Was Sebastian’s heart always so black? Can Jessica show him how to love? What will Roz do once all the secrets coming out? This story had a really good plot twist with the build up to plenty of suspense and mystery. I liked Roz, she was a strong woman who loved her brother dearly and put his needs first. Sebastian came across as dark and brooding but eventually you see he has a really good heart and was caught in a nightmare. Overall I enjoyed this book.
